Winter’s Tea Time is what happens when serendipity meets a determined curiosity. Before finding her love for tea, Dalis Winter-Hines was a full-time home organizing specialist who would help add structure to the homes of people of all backgrounds. Little did she know that one of her clients would change the trajectory of her life forever. This particular client would stop the day’s work at 4pm each day to sit down and have high tea. Neither pomp nor circumstance was spared; Fine China appeared along with the silverware, and the following half hour would be spent enjoying each other’s company. Dalis was so taken with this afternoon custom that on Sunday evenings after family dinner, she began to share high tea with her loved ones. The novelty of it all intrigued everyone, but the joy that it brought cemented it as a new Sunday tradition.

 

These Sunday evening high teas sparked what Winter’s Tea Time is today. What started with a family member asking Dalis, “Throw me a tea party for my 50th!” has evolved into a business that offers tea parties, quality loose-leaf teas, and tea sets that will allow you to share high tea with those you love.

 

Since the beginning of this journey, Dalis has been so curious about tea and its customs that she started collecting tea sets and looking into the health benefits of loose teas. She would seek out knowledge about the process of growing tea leaves and making blends from anywhere she could find it – books, online forums, and documentaries. She has accumulated a great wealth of knowledge and intends to share it with you! Where one would consider tea to be a simple hot beverage, Winters Tea Time would like to offer a different perspective.
